Framing made simple.
Framing not only protects your artwork — it shapes how it’s seen and how it lives in your space.
To make it easy, I’ve outlined a few simple options, including my go-to: classic box framing with a mat board. It’s what I use for all my prints, and it pairs beautifully with the softness of pencil.
Glass or Acrylic?
‘I always use glass, not acrylic, when framing my artwork. It’s scratch-resistant and has a beautifully clear, luxurious finish.’
Framing with Care
All of my artwork is framed in collaboration with Ella Webb, artist and art educator, and owner of Henna Street Picture Framers in Warrnambool.
With her deep knowledge, creative intuition, and years of experience, Ella brings each piece to life with an artist’s eye and a craftsman’s care.
At Henna Street, sustainability is central
— from recycled glass and reclaimed timber to offcuts donated to local schools. Their thoughtful blend of care, craftsmanship, and environmental awareness is something I deeply value.
Ella and her team use archival, conservation-grade techniques to protect your artwork while honouring its story. Whether you're framing a fine art print, original piece, or personal keepsake, their approach is both skilled and sensitive.
Framing is deeply personal — it should reflect the mood of your space and your own sense of home. If you’d like a little guidance choosing the right frame for your new artwork, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to help.
For best results, I recommend Art Glass — an anti-reflective option that reduces glare, filters up to 70% of UV light, and helps preserve your print’s quality and value over time. Please handle with care, as glass is fragile.
Together, we use a soft charcoal wooden frame — a warm, earthy tone with depth and quiet strength. It holds the artwork gently, offering space for it to breathe without feeling confined. In my own home, this frame pairs beautifully with reclaimed timber and natural textures — it complements rather than competes, adding warmth while letting the artwork speak.
